Facial Skin Care

A facial is a specialized skin care treatment for the face.  At Bella Fontana Spa, Licensed Estheticians or specially trained Licensed Cosmetologists perform these exclusive services.  All facials include make up removal, cleansing, exfoliation, treatment and finishing.  Facials may include a facial massage or extractions at no additional cost depending on the needs of your skin and the length of appointment booked. Please indicate that extractions may be needed when you make your appointment so that the esthetician can adjust the facial to meet your needs.  Please discuss your skin care concerns with the concierge desk when scheduling your appointment and the esthetician before you begin your service.  Our intake form will help us identify your skin care needs as well so that over time, you will see the results right on your face. 

IDERM Treatment

Signature Facial the 45 Minute IDerm Treatment – The Iderm® treatment is the most comprehensive approach to treating the skin. This treatment uses a direct galvanic current which effectively introduces water soluble solutions into the skin by a process called iontophoresis. Skin naturally rejects whatever we put on it, so the only way we can truly affect the lower layers of the skin, is to draw vitamin rich solutions into the dermal tissue by means of electricity. The Iderm® Treatment utilizes two ionization processes: Cataphoresis (positive ion) and Anaphoresis (negative ion). A positive treatment causes an acidic reaction and helps to firm the skin and promote new cell growth. A negative treatment creates an alkaline reaction and is used to soften the skin and stimulate circulation. Negative treatments are commonly used to loosen impacted cystic acne for deep cleansing of the skin. Your trained professional will determine which treatment is best for your skin.

IDERM Galvanic Process

You may have heard of NuSkin and the NuSkin Spa Treatment.  Well the Iderm® Treatment is the most effective galvanic treatment on the market.  Only trained professional estheticians and cosmetologists can perform these treatments, and their effectiveness level far exceeds the coverage and intensity of the NuSkin treatment which can only affect a small portion of the skin at one time.  The Iderm® Treatment and its unique skin care solution affects the entire area for 15 – 30 minutes at a time accelerating the restoration and rejuvenation process far beyond what any home care treatment, NuSkin or any other product can achieve. 

Is the Iderm® Treatment Safe? The Iderm® treatment process uses a very low intensity current, a milliamper (1/1000th of an ampere) which is both safe and effective for application to the skin.  The esthetician controls the current with the Iderm® Treatment machine and can adjust it for your skin type and needs. 

What Results Can I Expect? You will notice how exceptionally clean and rejuvenated your skin looks and feels after the first treatment. 

A combination of treatments and proper use of skin care products will give your skin the appearance of a smoother, more youthful tone and texture. 

How Often Can I Have a Treatment? The treatment is so safe that you could have it done everyday if you’d like! Your Iderm® skin-care professional, however, will determine the frequency of treatments necessary for your skin type and desired results. Most customers prefer to have at least one treatment per month. The Iderm® Treatment Process has also proven extremely effective in the medical arena, where it is recommended for pre and post laser and surgical procedures to boost the healing process. 

Extended Iderm® Treatment Process - This version is One hour and fifteen minutes to allow additional processing and treatment time. 

Iderm® Treatment Process Facial and Back – This version is One hour and 45 minutes to allow for complete treatment of the face and upper back. 

Bellissima Signature Facial Custom or Iderm® Treatment - Our Signature Facial is customized for your skin type using a variety of professional skin care products from SkinCeuticals, DermaCulture, Laboratoire Dr. Renaud and Babor. The aesthetician or cosmetologist will cleanse, exfoliate, treat and may perform extractions or facial massage or other treatments as necessary. When appropriate the technican may use the IDERM heat dome and treatment process in this facial.  This treatment is included in many of our Spa Packages.

Bellissima Deep Cleanse – Customized facial for hyperkeratinized, oily, comedonal, acne-prone skin. Cleanse, normalize keratinization, oxygenate, purify, reduce sebaceous secretions, soothe and protect. Protective. Facial Massage and Extractions are included. 

Bellissima Desensitize – Customized facial for dry, sensitive and fragile skin. Cleanse, soothe, desensitize, nourish, soften and restore the hydrolipic film for the skin. Protective. Facial Massage and extractions are included.  

Clay Mask Add On – Add a purifying clay mask for additional toning, purification and relaxation. 

Spot Microdermabrasion Treatment – Add-On to any Facial our Medical Grade (Crystal) Microdermabrasion service. 

Microdermabrasion and Gel Peel for Face, Neck and Decollete – This is a professional exfoliating process that utilizes state-of-the-art equipment to polish the skin’s surface. Medical Grade Microdermabrasion leaves the skin feeling silky and new. Long-lasting results are obtained with microdermabrasion after 5 – 10 treatments over 8-10 months. Multiple treatments will stimulate the production of collagen reducing the appearance of fine lines and acne scars. These treatments minimize large pores, even skin tone, and clears the complexion. Includes a light peel and mask.
